Would you like to become a Careline volunteer?

We are always looking for new people over the age of 18 to join our large team of dedicated volunteers.

Most of our volunteers make befriending calls from home, with a few making them from our office at St Oswald’s Hospital in Ashbourne. So even if you are less mobile, you can still be part of the team. Your involvement can be as little as 2 hours per month, or on a weekly or fortnightly basis, whatever fits best with your schedule.

All volunteers receive individual training and ongoing support from the Careline Befriending Co-ordinator and Careline Manager. We also keep everyone connected with a regular newsletter and offer opportunities to get together at social, fundraising, and training events throughout the year.

Our volunteers tell us that being part of Careline is extremely rewarding, and they enjoy the friendships they build through their calls.
